Between March 8th and 9th 2005. The worst storm of the winter season struck our area. This intense nor'easter (minimum pressure of 962 mb) caused a combination of heavy rain, heavy freezing rain, followed by some snow and strong winds. This resulted in several hours of a crippling icing event on the evening of the 8th and early morning hours of the 9th, that knocked of the power for over 15 hours!
