Tornado warning for
Moncton and southeast New Brunswick continued

Indications that a very intense thunderstorm located just southwest of Canaan at 4:40 PM may have a tornado associated with it. This storm is tracking south southeast at about 50 km/h and is expected to track about 10 to 15 kilometres east of Moncton. Additionally strong winds in excess of 100 km/h hail greater than 2 centimetres in diameter and heavy downpours are possible.

This is a warning that severe thunderstorms with tornadoes are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions. Take immediate safety precautions.

Thunderstorms are have developed in a warm and humid airmass over the above mentioned regions this afternoon. Some of these thunderstorms may produce damaging winds in excess of 90 km/h hail in excess of 2 cm and heavy downpours
