Wind warning for

Yarmouth County issued

Northerly wind gusts near 100 km/h forecast for overnight Friday night into Saturday morning.

This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A low pressure system is forecast to develop South of the Great Lakes Friday morning and move across the Bay of Fundy Friday night as it intensifies. The low will track quickly across the Southern Gulf of St Lawrence on Saturday.

Rain will move into Southwestern Nova Scotia late Friday morning and then spread across southern and eastern areas of the province in the afternoon. The rain will become heavy at times in the evening. Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 millimetres are forecast for much of the province.

Over Cumberland county significant snowfall and freezing rain is forecast to precede a change to rain Friday night.

Very strong northerly winds gusting to 100 km/h are forecast for westernmost areas of the province overnight Friday and early Saturday morning. Strong northerly winds will spread across the remainder of the province Saturday. Rapidly falling temperatures and periods of snow will accompany these strong northerly winds. This will lead to icy conditions Saturday.

Rainfall amounts of up to 50 millimetres are expected by Saturday morning.

A low pressure system is forecast to develop South of the Great Lakes Friday morning and move across the Bay of Fundy Friday night as it intensifies. The low will track quickly across the Southern Gulf of St Lawrence on Saturday.

Blizzard warning for Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick

Snowfall amounts ranging from 15 cm over northern regions to 30 cm in the south are expected Friday night. Strong winds gusting up to 90 km/h will also develop overnight giving widespread blowing snow.

This is a warning that blizzard conditions with near-zero visibilities are expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A low pressure system is forecast to develop South of the Great Lakes Friday morning and move across the Bay of Fundy Friday night. Snow will begin Friday afternoon and will continue Friday night. Snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm expected in Northeastern New Brunswick and up to 30 centimetres are forecast for the southern half. Along the Bay of Fundy the snow is forecast to become mixed with or change to rain in the evening then change back to snow after midnight. Strong northerly winds will develop overnight resulting in widespread blowing snow, gusts to 90 km/h are expected along parts of the Fundy coast and Eastern New Brunswick.
