      Significant snow and rain expected tonight and Friday.

==discussion==
A low pressure system will develop over New England tonight and track
through the Maritimes on Friday.  This system will bring a
significant amount of mixed precipitation to Northwestern New
Brunswick.

The precipitation is expected to begin as rain tonight then become
mixed with snow.  The mixed precipitation will continue Friday with
more snow expected in the northwesternmost parts of the province and
over higher terrain.  Other areas will see more rain than snow.
Friday night the precipitation will taper off to flurries as the low
pressure system moves away from the Maritimes.

At this time local amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres of heavy wet snow
are forecast along with up to 40 millimetres of rain.  There is a
possibility for greater amounts due to uncertainty with the rain-snow
boundary.  The public is advised to monitor future forecasts as
warnings may be required.
