THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL MAINE...NORTH
CENTRAL MAINE...NORTHERN MAINE AND WEST CENTRAL MAINE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED IN THE REGION THIS
AFTERNOON INTO EARLY THIS EVENING. HEAVY RAINFALL, POTENTIALLY
RESULTING IN LOCALIZED FLOODING OF FLOOD PRONE AREAS, WILL BE THE
BIGGEST THREAT AS STORMS WILL TEND TO TRAIN ALONG A SLOW MOVING
FRONTAL BOUNDARY. THERE WILL ALSO BE THE THREAT OF A FEW STORMS
PRODUCING STRONG WINDS AND HAIL DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH SUNSHINE AND
RESULTING INSTABILITY OCCURS TODAY. THE BEST CHANCE FOR ANY STORMS
REACHING STRONG TO SEVERE LEVELS WILL BE OVER EXTREME WESTERN
AREAS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
PERIODS OF RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST MEMORIAL DAY. THE
ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL ADD TO THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING.
