Fredericton and Southern York County continued
This is a warning that dangerous winter weather conditions are expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A low pressure system over the Southern United States is expected to intensify as it tracks northeastward today. This system will move off the East Coast of the United States Sunday morning and then pass just south of Cape Breton Sunday evening. This system is expected to bring significant snowfall and strong easterly winds on Sunday. Snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 centimetres are expected across Southern New Brunswick with up to 40 centimetres in the Grand Manan area. The snow will be accompanied by strong easterly winds gusting up to 70 kilometres per hour giving blowing snow. Over Northeastern New Brunswick lesser snowfall amounts are expected but strong easterly winds are likely by afternoon giving blowing snow conditions.
Higher than normal water levels can be expected Sunday evening at high tide along the East Coast of New Brunswick.
Those planning travel or other weather sensitive activities on Sunday are advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings.

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West continued
This is a warning that dangerous winter weather conditions are expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A cold westerly flow over the region will continue to produce flurries and localized snow squalls over the Cape Breton Highlands today. Local total snowfall amounts of up to 20 centimetres are possible in these snow squalls. Strong westerly winds combined with the snow will also give reduced visibilities at times in blowing snow and motorists are advised to use caution.
Additionally a low pressure system over the Southern United States is expected to intensify as it tracks northeastward today. This system will move off the East Coast of the United States Sunday morning and then pass just south of Cape Breton Sunday evening. This system is expected to bring significant snowfall and strong easterly winds on Sunday. The snow will become mixed with or change to ice pellets with a risk of freezing rain over most of Nova Scotia Sunday afternoon or evening before briefly changing to rain showers along the Atlantic coast.
Snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 centimetres are expected across the province accompanied by strong easterly winds gusting up to 80 kilometres per hour giving reduced visibilities in blowing snow.
Les Suetes winds gusting to 110 kilometres per hour are expected Sunday afternoon and evening as the low approaches Cape Breton.
Higher than normal water levels can be expected Sunday evening at high tide along the Atlantic coast of Mainland Nova Scotia, Cape Breton and along the Northumberland Strait.
