Surprise Mid-January Nova Scotia Snow Storm event summary

WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NOVA SCOTIA ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT
3:08 A.M. AST SUNDAY 19 JANUARY 2014.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DEVELOPED ALONG THE MID-ATLANTIC COAST OF THE 
UNITED STATES SATURDAY AND INTENSIFIED AS IT TRACKED SOUTH OF NOVA
SCOTIA SATURDAY NIGHT. THIS SYSTEM BROUGHT HEAVY SNOWFALL TO EASTERN 
AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN NOVA SCOTIA. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WAS 
REPORTED ALONG A BAND FROM WEST OF HALIFAX NORTHEAST TO PICTOU AND 
ANTIGONISH COUNTIES AND OVER SOUTHERN CAPE BRETON.

THE FOLLOWING IS A SUMMARY OF WEATHER EVENT INFORMATION RECEIVED BY
