3:44 PM AST Friday 07 November 2014
Wind warning in effect for:
  • Sydney Metro and Cape Breton County
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

An intensifying low pressure system over the Bay of Fundy will track northeastward to lie over the Gulf of St Lawrence this evening and over Newfoundland Saturday afternoon. Strong westerly winds gusting up to 100 km/h will develop in its wake early Saturday morning and then gradually diminish Saturday afternoon and evening as the low moves away.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
