Wind warning in effect for:
- Digby County
A low pressure system southwest of Nova Scotia will deepen rapidly as it tracks across Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island this evening to lie over the Gulf of St. Lawrence by overnight tonight.
Strong northerly winds gusting to 90km/h will develop along coastal areas of western Nova Scotia today as the low approaches. Winds will gradually diminish through the day Monday as the low continues to track eastward.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Stay up to date with Weatheradio or your local media. Email reports of severe weather to weatherASPC@ec.gc.ca or call 1-877-815-9900. You may tweet reports using the hashtag #NSStorm.

Wind warning in effect for:
- Queens County P.E.I.
A low pressure system southwest of Nova Scotia will deepen rapidly as it tracks across Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island this evening to lie over the Gulf of St. Lawrence by overnight tonight.
Strong northerly winds gusting to 90km/h are forecast for today over western Prince Edward Island as the low approaches. Overnight tonight strong southerly and southwesterly winds gusting to 90km/h will develop over Prince Edward Island and les Iles-de-la-Madeleine. Winds will gradually diminish through the day Monday.
Additionally, higher than normal water levels and rough pounding surf are expected tonight and much of Monday along the northern coastline of Prince Edward Island and much of les Iles-de-la-Madeleine.
