Beginning of December Winter Storm Update Six

Snowfall warning in effect for:
  • Victoria County
Snowfall, with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected.

A low pressure system over the Gulf of Maine will track across Nova Scotia tonight to lie east of Cape Breton by Friday morning. Periods of rain ahead of this system will change to snow tonight as it brings in cooler air in from the north. The snow will end by Friday morning giving total snow amounts near 15 centimetres for the above regions.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
  • Woodstock and Carleton County
Snowfall, with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected.

A low pressure system will intensify as it tracks slowly south of New Brunswick later today and tonight. Colder air will be drawn into this low from the north today causing the rain to gradually turn to snow from north to south. Accumulating snow is expected over most of the province with this system with parts of central and southern New Brunswick possibly receiving up to 15 centimeters before ending overnight tonight.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Snowfall Warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
