Early March Southern Maritimes Nor'Easter

Special weather statement in effect for:

• Halifax Metro and Halifax County West

A low pressure system is forecast to develop off the American Eastern Seaboard on Friday and track south of the Maritimes Saturday. Latest indications suggest that this system could give significant snowfall as well as strong easterly winds mainly to eastern portions of Nova Scotia on Saturday. However, a slight shift northward in track could push significant snowfall back across western portions of the province.
