An intense low pressure system tracked across the southern Maritimes
today and now is heading toward Newfoundland. Significant rainfall
amounts occurred across many areas of New Brunswick with significant
snowfall over northern regions. Additionally an extended period of
freezing rain occurred in the northeast.
