Storm expected to be a hurricane when it hits Florida

"It's expected to intensify to hurricane force as it makes landfall in the Florida panhandle, then move up just the east side of the Appalachians and pretty much stall around the Virginia and Washington area," said Coade.
"In that position [it could] push its rain up over the Maritime provinces."
Coade said he would expect 15 to 20 mm of rain on Monday on P.E.I. if this scenario plays out, but there is still a possibility of the storm's track changing and bringing no rain at all.
