Snowfall warning in effect for:

Woodstock and Carleton County
Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

An intensifying low pressure system will approach the Maritimes from the southwest on Thursday to track across northwest New Brunswick on

Friday.

This storm will bring snow at times heavy over central and northern New Brunswick Thursday night into Friday morning with 15 centimetres or more

expected. Strong southeasterly winds are also expected overnight Thursday and Friday morning with this system which will result is some blowing

snow over exposed areas.

In addition there is a threat for large waves and storm surge with this system, near high tide on Friday, for coastal areas of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It

is too early to make a precise prediction at this time, but the risks currently look highest in the Bay of Chaleur and along the Gulf of Saint Lawrence

coast southwards to Miramichi.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.

Rainfall, combined with melting snow, is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

An intensifying low pressure system will approach the Maritimes from the southwest on Thursday to track across northwest New Brunswick on

Friday.

This storm will bring rain at times heavy giving 25 millimetres along the Fundy coast Thursday night. Strong southerly winds are also expected

Thursday night and Friday morning with this system.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County
An intensifying disturbance will approach from the southwest on Thursday and then track across northwest New Brunswick on Friday. Snow will

develop ahead of the disturbance by Thursday evening and then become heavy at times Thursday before changing to rain later in the evening.

Current indications suggest that significant snowfall is expected over parts of southern New Brunswick before it changes to rain, resulting in messy

driving conditions.

Over central and northern sections of the province a snowfall warning has been issued with 15 centimetres of snow expected. Over parts of the Fundy

coast a rainfall warning is in effect with 25 millimetres of rain expected.
