In like a Lion

3:43 PM AST Tuesday 28 February 2017
Rainfall warning in effect for:

Woodstock and Carleton County
Rain, heavy at times is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

A low pressure system will approach New Brunswick on Wednesday from the Great Lakes. Precipitation will begin as flurries or freezing rain over

some regions before quickly changing over to rain as the low brings warmer air to the province. Rain will begin in the morning and continue into the

evening before ending overnight. Total rainfall amounts of near 30 mm are expected over northern New Brunswick with lesser amounts currently

expected over southern parts of the province.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Don't

approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to
