Special weather statement in effect for:

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
A low pressure system will pass south of Nova Scotia Friday night as it intensifies and tracks towards Newfoundland. Snow from this system is

The latest indications are that the bulk of the snow will remain south of the province with 5 to 10 cm forecast for Cape Breton and eastern Mainland

Nova Scotia. There is still some uncertainty in the track and a slight shift northward could result in higher snowfall amounts.
