...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Blizzard
Warning...which is in effect until 2 AM EDT Wednesday. The Winter
Storm Warning is no longer in effect.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Additional snow accumulation of 10 to 14
inches...along with up a tenth of an inch of ice.

* LOCATIONS...The greater Bangor area and interior Downeast
  Maine.

* HAZARD TYPES...Heavy snow and blowing snow. Snow will mix with
  sleet and freezing rain and then change to rain across much of
  Hancock and Washington counties by midnight.

* TIMING...Through 2 am.

* IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds will create very hazardous
  traveling conditions. Blowing and drifting snow will cause near
  whiteout conditions at times. Strong winds and wet snow will
  also result in power outages.

* WINDS...East 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* VISIBILITIES...One quarter mile or less at times.

* TEMPERATURES...In the lower 30s.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions...making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel...have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded...stay with your vehicle.
