Heat Advisory issued for most of New Brunswick

Special weather statement in effect for:
Fredericton and Southern York County
One of the first heat events of the season is expected today and Friday.
Daytime high temperatures are expected to reach 28 to 31 degrees Celsius with Humidex values near 30 to 36. Warmest conditions are expected from mid afternoon into early evening. Temperatures are expected to return to near normal on the weekend.
These conditions may pose a health risk when you are not used to the heat.
You are advised to 1) drink plenty of cool liquids before feeling thirsty, and 2) keep cool by dressing for the weather and spending a few hours during the day in a cool place.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
