Rainfall warning in effect for:

Saint John and County
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A low pressure system approaching from the Great Lakes will bring rain, at times heavy, to the Southern New Brunswick tonight and on Saturday. Amounts exceeding 50 mm are possible before the low moves away late on Saturday.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Heavy rain is expected...

A low pressure system is forecast to sweep eastward across the Maritimes over the first half of the weekend. At this time, forecast guidance indicates that total rainfall amounts may reach or exceed 50 mm in some areas.

There is some uncertainty in the track and intensity of this system, and the amounts and areas expecting heaviest rain may be revised as it approaches. Meteorologists at Environment Canada will monitor its development and provide updates as further information becomes available.

Sydney Metro and Cape Breton County
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A low pressure system will approach from the west overnight tonight crossing Nova Scotia later in the day Saturday. Rain, at times heavy, will develop as the low draws near. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 80 mm are expected, with possibly 100 mm or more for Cape Breton.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

A low pressure system will approach from the west overnight tonight tracking south of the island later in the day Saturday. Rain, at times heavy, will develop Saturday morning. Total rainfall amounts of up to 60 mm are expected.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
