.Low pressure tracking up the eastern seaboard tonight and Friday
will combine with a high astronomical tide resulting in some
minor splashover at the time of high tide early Friday afternoon.

* LOCATION...Acadia National Park...Schoodic Point...Lamoine State
  Park...Castine...Roque Bluffs State Park....Machias... Eastport.

* TIMING...Minor impacts are expected to occur within 2 hours
  either side of the high tide cycle. High tide is expected to
  occur around 1232 PM Friday afternoon.

* TIDAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Water may begin to approach the most
  vulnerable locations along the coast. Low-lying causeways may
  have some minor splash-over, but inundation is not expected.

* Shoreline Flood Impacts...Minor splashover is possible.

Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.

...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 3 PM EDT
FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a Coastal Flood
Advisory, which is in effect from 11 AM to 3 PM EDT Friday.

* TIMING...From 11 AM to 3 PM EDT Friday.

* Impacts...Minor coastal flooding and splash-over.

* Location...The southwest coast of Maine and Seacoast of New
  Hampshire.

* Coastal Flooding...Storm surge of around one foot will combine
  with high astronomical tides bringing most locations a few
  inches above flood stage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Rain, heavy at times is expected.

A developing low pressure system over the eastern seaboard of the United States is expected to track northeastward to lie over southern Maine Friday evening.

Rain at times heavy and strong southeasterly winds ahead of the low is expected to move into southwestern Nova Scotia late Friday morning. The rain is then forecast to spread eastward reaching Cape

Breton late in the afternoon. The rain will taper to showers Friday evening.

Total rainfall amounts of 25 to 30 millimetres are expected.

If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

St. Stephen and Northern Charlotte County
A developing low pressure system over the eastern seaboard of the United States is expected to track northeastward to lie over southern Maine Friday evening.

Rain at times heavy will develop over southwestern New Brunswick early Friday morning giving near 30 mm before tapering to showers Friday evening.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Avoid driving through water on roads. Even shallow, fast-moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle or a person away.
