Frost possible throughout most of Nova Scotia and SE New Brunswick overnight

Frost advisory in effect for:

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

Light winds and relatively cloud free skies will give conditions that are favourable for frost formation tonight.

Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
