This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Central Highlands Maine,
Coastal DownEast Maine, Far Eastern Maine, Far Northern Maine,
Interior DownEast Maine, North Woods Maine and Penobscot Valley
Maine.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Strong winds are possible Thursday night into Friday as a storm
system tracks across the area. The best chance for high winds will
be along the coast. Heavy rain expected Thursday into early Friday
with possible rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches across the region.

conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County
Significant rain possible for New Brunswick on Thursday and Friday...

A low pressure system will begin to approach the Maritimes on Thursday. Widespread rain is expected to begin Thursday morning then increase in intensity overnight Thursday into Friday. Current indications suggest that accumulations could exceed rainfall criteria of 50 mm within 24 hours. There will also be strong winds accompanying this system on Friday.

At this time there is quite a bit of uncertainty in the track and timing of this feature. The public is advised to monitor future forecasts as warnings may be required.
