Discussion.

A low pressure system developed off the east coast of the United
States Tuesday night, then intensified as it tracked south of Nova
Scotia Wednesday.

Snow at times heavy began over western Nova Scotia early Wednesday,
then spread rapidly to remainder of the province later in the
morning. The snow tapered to flurries Wednesday evening. Highest
amounts of over 60 centimetres fell in a regions from Pictou,
Antigonish and Inverness counties.
