Special weather statement in effect for:

Mount Carleton - Renous Highway

Location: New Brunswick except northernmost counties.

Time span: Monday evening through Wednesday evening.

Potential Rainfall amount: 50 to 80 mm with higher amounts possible in areas of heaviest rain.

Remarks: An intense low pressure system is expected to move into New England on Monday. Rain ahead of this system will move into western New Brunswick Monday evening and spread northeastward through the overnight hours and will become heavy at times Tuesday morning. While it is too early to predict the location of heaviest rain and specific amounts, model guidance currently indicates that 50 to 80 mm of rain is likely to fall in a wide swath across much of the province. Locally higher amounts are possible, especially over higher terrain.
