...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...East winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* WHERE...Southern Penobscot, Interior Hancock and Central
Washington Counties.
* WHEN...Until 9 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and isolated power outages may
result.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

Wind warning in effect for:
Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
Maximum wind gusts: southeasterlies up to 90 km/h, except up to 100 km/h for Cape Breton Island
Locations: The Atlantic coast of mainland Nova Scotia for Halifax and east, and Cape Breton Island
Time span: Overnight into Sunday morning.
Remarks: An intensifying low pressure system approaching from New England will give increasingly strong southeasterly winds tonight into Sunday, with gusts reaching 90 to 100 km/h.
There is also a Les Suetes wind warning in effect for Cape Breton Island from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence, as well as rainfall warnings for the Atlantic coast of mainland Nova Scotia and much of Cape Breton Island.
Gusty winds can damage soft shelters, tents and awnings at outdoor events. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.

Kings County P.E.I.
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
Maximum wind gusts: southeasterlies up to 90 km/h.
Time span: Early Sunday morning.
Remarks: An intensifying low pressure system approaching from New England will give increasingly strong southeasterly winds tonight into Sunday, with gusts reaching 90 km/h early Sunday morning, before diminishing near noon.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
