Historic Winter Storm Uri Update Two
Freezing rain warning in effect for:
Queens County P.E.I.
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
Prolonged periods of freezing rain.
Locations: Queens and Kings County.
Time Span: Tuesday afternoon to Tuesday evening.
Remarks: Snow and ice pellets will spread across the province early Tuesday, and will change over to ice pellets, then freezing rain, and then to rain over central and eastern portions of the province by Tuesday evening.
Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Winter storm warning in effect for:
Fredericton and Southern York County
Snow, ice pellets, and an extended period of freezing rain are expected on Tuesday.
Total snowfall and ice pellet amounts: 15 to 20 cm.
Location: south central New Brunswick.
Time span: Tuesday morning until Wednesday morning.
Remarks: snow will begin Tuesday morning, transition through a period of ice pellets, and then change to freezing rain by Tuesday afternoon or early Tuesday evening before ending Wednesday morning.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
