This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Coastal DownEast Maine and
Interior DownEast Maine.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Snow will move into Downeast Sunday morning before exiting by Monday
morning. The potential exists for light to moderate snowfall
accumulations, mainly across Hancock and Washington counties.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick
Significant snowfall expected Sunday night.

Total snowfall: 10 to 20 cm, potentially higher.

Maximum wind gusts: 70 km/h or higher.

Locations: southern and eastern New Brunswick.

Time span: Sunday evening through to midday Monday.

Remarks: Snow will spread across southern New Brunswick Sunday evening with strong northeasterly winds and blowing snow developing overnight into Monday. There is still some uncertainty with regards to the track and timing of the system, but significant snowfall especially over southern New Brunswick is possible.

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Significant snowfall expected Sunday night.

Total snowfall: 20 to 40 cm, locally higher amounts possible.

Maximum wind gusts: 60 to 80 km/h, possibly gusting to 100 km/h along parts of Atlantic coast

Locations: all of Nova Scotia.

Time span: Sunday evening through to Monday afternoon.

Remarks: Heavy snow will spread across Nova Scotia late in the day on Sunday with strong northeasterly winds and blowing snow developing overnight into Monday. There is still some uncertainty with regards to the track and timing of the system, but widespread significant snowfall is likely.

Locations: all of Prince Edward Island.

Time span: Sunday evening through to midday Monday.

Remarks: Snow will spread across Prince Edward Island Sunday evening with strong northeasterly winds and blowing snow developing overnight into Monday. There is still some uncertainty with regards to the track and timing of the system, but significant snowfall is likely, especially over central and eastern regions.
