Air Quality Alert Issued For Northern New Brunswick - 08/06/2021

Special air quality statement in effect for:

Mount Carleton - Renous Highway

Smoke from distant forest fires may cause a reduction to air quality.

Locations: northern New Brunswick.

Time span: continuing until overnight

Remarks: Smoke from forest fires in northern Ontario and Manitoba has spread across northern portions of New Brunswick again today. While most smoke will remain aloft, some may descend to near ground level causing a reduction to air quality. Associated haze will likely give the sun a reddish appearance. Conditions should improve later tonight.
