This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Central Highlands Maine,
Coastal DownEast Maine, Far Northern Maine and North Woods Maine.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
A coastal storm will bring wintry precipitation to the region along
with windy conditions Sunday night and Monday. Another storm is
possible late Wednesday into Thursday.

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH
MONDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 5 and
7 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze possible.
Winds could gust as high as 25 to 35 mph, with patchy blowing snow.
* WHERE...Northern Washington, Southeast Aroostook, Central
Penobscot, and Southern Penobscot Counties.
* WHEN...From Sunday evening through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow,
sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to
monitor the latest forecasts.

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
On Monday, rain at times heavy and strong southerly winds will develop and persist through the day. The precipitation will likely begin as snow over the Annapolis Valley and northern Nova Scotia before changing to rain. Rain may change back to snow for these areas on Monday evening.
Additionally, a run of high tides combined with high waves approaching from the south may give coastal flooding conditions for southwestern Nova Scotia late Monday morning.

Queens County P.E.I.
On Monday, snow will begin overnight and become heavy at times in the morning. Snow may change to rain at times heavy over central and eastern Prince Edward Island. The snow at times heavy will persist into the evening and amounts of 25 to 35 cm are possible. Significant rainfall amounts are expected over central and eastern regions. On Monday, snow will develop across central and southern sections of the province and will become heavy at times. Snowfall amounts of 25 to 35 cm are possible. Along the Fundy coast the snow may change to rain so lesser amounts of snow are expected there. Monitor future forecasts as snowfall warnings will likely be issued.
