Discussion.

A low pressure system tracked south of New Brunswick last night. 
This system gave significant snowfall accumulations to parts of New 
Brunswick with the heaviest amounts in the southern half of the 
province. 

The following is a summary of snowfall amounts observed in the 
province in centimetres as of 8 am this morning: 

Moncton Airport: 19 
Saint John Airport: 17 
Bathurst Airport: 6 

Private Stations: 

Sackville: 20 
Grande-Digue: 20 
Norton: 19 
Hoyt: 18 
New Maryland (near Fredericton): 16 
Pennfield Ridge: 15 
Chamcook:15 
Anfield: 11 
Miramichi: 8

and early this morning. This system gave significant snowfall 
accumulations to much of Nova Scotia. 

The following is a summary of snowfall accumulations reported across 
the province as of 8 am this morning:

Central Dartmouth: 27.5 
Lower Sackville: 27 
Bedford: 26.9 
Hammonds Plains: 26.7 
Middleton: 25.4 
Glen Haven: 23.1 
Mahone Bay: 22.1 
Lantz: 22 
Jimtown (near Antigonish): 21.6 
Sandy Cove: 20 
Meteghan River: 18 
Barss Corner: 18.5 
Bear River: 18 
Duncans Cove: 18 
Cleveland (east of Port Hawkesbury): 18 
Northport (northwest of Pugwash): 16.5 
Pictou Landing: 14.5 
Sydney: 8.4 
Port Maitland: 7.9 

Some additional snowfall occurred after 8 am over easternmost areas.

night. Snow associated with this system affected the province with 
the most accumulation over southeastern areas.
