Heat Warning In Effect For Far Northern New Brunswick

10:46 a.m. ADT Saturday 24 June 2023

Another very warm day is expected today.

Time span: Continuing today.

Maximum daytime temperatures: 30 to 32 degrees Celsius, except cooler along parts of the coast. Humidex values may reach 35 to 38.

Locations:  Campbellton and Restigouche County, Bathurst and Chaleur Region, Acadian Peninsula, and Miramichi and area.

Remarks:  Temperatures will begin to cool down tonight and heat warning conditions are not expected on Sunday.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

Check on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
