Winter Storm Tormund Update Two

10:15 PM ADT Thursday 4 April 2024
Prolonged snowfall is expected.

Locations: northeastern New Brunswick.

Time span: tonight through Friday.

Total snowfall amounts: near 15 cm except up to 30 over higher terrain.

Remarks: Heavy wet snow is expected tonight and Friday. Utility outages may occur from the weight of the snow. Rain may mix with the snow at times especially near the coast.

Wet snow is expected to continue Friday night and Saturday. However accumulations are not expected to be significant during that period.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to NBstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #NBStorm.
