SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT FOR NEW BRUNSWICK ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT
CANADA AT 3:02 PM ADT SATURDAY 19 AUGUST 2006.

A FRONTAL SYSTEM DEVELOPING OVER NEW BRUNSWICK WILL BRING SHOWERS AND
SCATTERED THUNDERSHOWERS TONIGHT. MOISTURE WILL MOVE ALONG THE FRONT
AS IT STALLS AND AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DEVELOPS OVER NEW ENGLAND
ON SUNDAY. THE RAINFALL IS FORECAST TO END LATE IN THE DAY SUNDAY.
PERIODS OF RAIN AT TIMES HEAVY ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE FRONTAL ZONE
OVER CENTRAL NEW BRUNSWICK TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. CURRENT INDICATIONS
ARE THAT ABOUT 30 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE. SOME COMPUTER
MODELS SUGGEST UPWARDS OF 50 MILLIMETRES ARE POSSIBLE DUE TO EMBEDDED
THUNDERSHOWERS.

THE PUBLIC IS ADVISED TO MONITOR FUTURE FORECASTS AS WARNINGS MAY BE
REQUIRED.
