Rainfall warning for
Halifax Metro and Halifax County West continued

Up to 100 millimetres of rain expected over mainland Nova Scotia and up to 125 millimetres expected for Cape Breton by Tuesday morning.

This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A frontal system over the Maritimes will slowly move eastward today. This feature will continue to draw moisture from tropical storm Leslie..Which is well to the south..And give rain at times heavy to the province. The heaviest rain is currently over Central Nova Scotia and will spread into Cape Breton by this afternoon. The heavy rain has ended over western sections of the province. Total rainfall amounts of 100 to 125 millimetres are forecast for Cape Breton and Eastern Nova Scotia by Tuesday morning.

An additional 10 to 20 millimetres of rain expected by the end of today.

This is a warning that significant rainfall is occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A frontal system over the Maritimes will slowly move eastward today. This feature will continue to draw moisture from tropical storm Leslie..Which is well to the south..And give rain at times heavy to the province today and tonight. 60 to 80 millimetres of rain has fallen overnight and an additional 10 to 20 millimetres are forecast for today. Total rainfall amounts of up to 100 millimetres are expected by Tuesday morning.
