CONTINUE TO AFFECT PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL AND INTERIOR DOWNEAST
MAINE INTO EARLY AFTERNOON..
AT 1120 AM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED INTENSE RAIN SHOWERS CAPABLE
OF PRODUCING RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR AND
OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING. THESE SHOWERS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT
35 MPH...WITH SOME SHOWERS REPEATEDLY TRACKING OVER THE SAME
LOCATIONS WITHIN THIS AREA. MOTORISTS DRIVING THROUGH THIS AREA...
WHICH INCLUDES THE STRETCH OF INTERSTATE 95 FROM BANGOR TO
MILLINOCKET...SHOULD EXPECT SUDDEN DOWNPOURS AND PONDING OF WATER
ON ROADWAYS UNTIL 130 PM EDT.

Rainfall warning for
Fredericton and Southern York County issued
Rain at times heavy will give total rainfall amounts in excess of 50 millimetres today.
This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A frontal trough associated with a low pressure system near the Great Lakes will cross the province today. Periods of rain will continue today and be heavy at times over southwestern regions. Some areas in that part of the province have already received over 50 mm this morning. Another 10 to 20 mm is possible before the rain tapers off later today as the trough moves out of the region tonight.

This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A frontal trough associated with a low pressure system centered over Southern Quebec will move out of the region by Sunday morning. As this system tracks northeastward periods of rain will spread slowly eastward today.
Rainfall amounts near 50 millimetres are expected for southwestern regions of the province.
