* WIND CHILL READINGS...AS LOW AS 36 BELOW.

* WINDS...WEST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...3 BELOW TO 14 BELOW ZERO.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE COMBINATION OF VERY COLD AIR AND
STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES. THIS

Wind chill warning for
Grand Falls and Victoria County issued

This is a warning that extreme wind chill conditions are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

A low pressure system south of Nova Scotia will intensify rapidly as it tracks northward to lie over Southern Labrador tonight.

Strong westerly winds will develop over Eastern New Brunswick today with gusts to 90 km/h expected this evening over the Acadian Peninsula. Winds gusting to 70 km/h are expected in other eastern areas of New Brunswick. These winds are expected to give local blowing and drifting snow over exposed areas along the New Brunswick East Coast.

The combination of strong winds and cold temperatures will give extreme wind chill values near minus 35 to areas over northern parts of the province overnight and into Tuesday morning.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
