AT 1135 AM EDT THE AREA OF HEAVY RAIN THAT PROMPTED THE ADVISORY HAS
MOVED OUT TO THE EAST AFTER DROPPING RADAR ESTIMATED RAIN AMOUNTS OF
LOCALLY OVER 2 INCHES. CONTINUING RISES ON SMALL STREAMS DUE TO RUN
OFF MAY STILL LEAD TO FLOODING IN MAINLY LOW LYING AREAS INTO EARLY
THIS AFTERNOON.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS

Rainfall warning for
Oromocto and Sunbury County continued
Rainfall amounts in excess of 50 millimetres likely today and tonight.
This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A trough of low pressure approaching from the west will give rainfall amounts of about 50 millimetres, with local amounts in excess of 70 millimetres possible for Southwestern New Brunswick. The highest amounts will be for late today and tonight for most regions.
There are some uncertainties in the guidance, which may require the warning areas to be expanded.

spread rain over the province today and tonight. Forecast guidance
has been somewhat variable about the exact amounts and areas expected
to get the most rainfall amounts. Amounts could reach warning
criteria for parts of the Cobequid Peninsula and the Fundy coast of
Mainland Nova Scotia by Saturday morning.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as
warnings may be required or extended.
