SOUTHERN MAINE FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. AS IT DOES SO... SEVERAL
ROUNDS OF PRECIPITATION ARE EXPECTED TO SPREAD EASTWARD ALONG THE
FRONT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. PRECIPITATION ALONG AND TO THE NORTH
OF THE FRONT WILL FALL PREDOMINANTLY IN THE FORM OF FREEZING
RAIN. FURTHER NORTH ACROSS FAR NORTHERN MAINE AND EXTREME
NORTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE... MORE SNOW AND SLEET IS POSSIBLE. THE

* TIMING...FREEZING RAIN WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA THIS EVENING
AND CONTINUE ON AND OFF THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT.
* IMPACTS...FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE ICE TO ACCUMULATE ON EXPOSED
SURFACES. ROADS AND SIDEWALKS WILL BECOME VERY SLIPPERY AND MAKE
DRIVING AND WALKING DIFFICULT. TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES WILL
LIKELY SEE SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS. SNAPPED LIMBS WILL POSE A

Snowfall warning for
Fredericton and Southern York County continued
15 to 25 centimetres snow expected tonight and Sunday.
This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A trough of low pressure over Nova Scotia will slowly move northward to lie over Prince Edward Island this afternoon. The trough will then drift southward to lie over Southwestern Nova Scotia by Sunday morning.
Periods of freezing rain are expected over Southern and Central New Brunswick ahead of the trough today. As the trough shifts southward overnight, freezing rain and/or ice pellets will continue to affect much of Southern New Brunswick where it will persist until late Sunday evening. Over Central New Brunswick freezing rain will change to snow overnight tonight and persist on Sunday giving 15 to 20 centimetres. Current indications are that the extreme southwest of the province will be the worst hit by the freezing rain and could see 12 plus hours and up to 30 millimetres of freezing rain.
South of the band of freezing rain Grand Manan Island will see rain tonight and Sunday with near 40 millimetres expected.
Northern New Brunswick can expect snow to taper off from west to east this afternoon. Snow will start again tonight and continue into Sunday. Highest amounts are expected in eastern regions, where 15 to 25 centimetres are forecast to accumulate by Sunday evening.

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West continued
An extended period of freezing rain is expected.
This is a warning that an extended period of freezing rain is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A trough of low pressure over Nova Scotia will slowly move northward to lie over Prince Edward Island this afternoon. The trough will then drift southward to lie over Southwestern Nova Scotia by Sunday morning.
As the trough shifts southward overnight, freezing rain and/or ice pellets are expected to spread over most of the province. The freezing rain and/or ice pellets are expected to persist until late Sunday evening. Currently, it looks like the valley and central areas of Nova Scotia will be the worst hit by the freezing rain. Current indications suggest that these regions could see 12 hours or more of freezing rain and up to 40 millimetres of accumulation.
Southwestern Nova Scotia will see rain begin overnight and continue until Sunday night producing up to 50 millimetres.
