Rainfall warning in effect for:
- Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
A low pressure system will approach from the south tonight and move to lie near Cape Breton early Sunday morning. Snow is reported in many communities this evening will change to rain at times heavy. Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres are expected.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Be prepared for winter conditions at higher elevations.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
- Cumberland County - Minas Shore
A low pressure system will approach from the south tonight and move to lie near Cape Breton early Sunday morning. Snow at times heavy will develop this evening in advance of the low and taper to flurries on Sunday as the low moves away. Total snowfall amounts near 20 centimetres are expected.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. Blowing Snow Advisory in effect for:
- Campbellton and eastern half of Restigouche County
- western half of Restigouche County
A low pressure system south of the Maritimes will intensify as it moves over the Gulf of St. Lawrence on Sunday. Snow ahead of this system will spread across northern New Brunswick tonight. Strong westerly winds will develop on Sunday morning causing reduced visibilities in blowing snow.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
Weather Advisories for blowing snow are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.

Snow ahead of this system will spread across eastern New Brunswick tonight and become heavy at times before ending around mid-day on Sunday. Strong westerly winds will develop on Sunday afternoon causing locally reduced visibilities in blowing snow.
