* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 45 mph are expected. Winds

* WHAT...Snow occurring. Mixed precipitation expected late
tonight into Wednesday morning. Plan on difficult travel
conditions. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are
expected. Less than one tenth of an inch of ice accumulation.
* WHERE...Northeast Aroostook County.
* WHEN...11 AM today to 1 PM Wednesday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in
visibility at times.

Rainfall warning in effect for:
Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
A low pressure system near the Great Lakes will approach the Maritimes today. The system is expected to stall over the New England area later tonight and Wednesday before moving northward on Thursday.
Rainfall amounts up to 60 millimetres are expected for parts of the province tonight. In addition strong southeasterly winds gusting up to 80 km/h and mild temperatures can be expected across much of the province tonight, with the strongest winds most likely over the eastern half of the mainland and Cape Breton.
The strong onshore winds with this system and will bring higher than normal water levels and rough surf along the Atlantic coast near high tide tonight and Wednesday.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
Woodstock and Carleton County
Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.
An intensifying area of low pressure near the Great Lakes will continue its track towards the Maritimes today. Snow ahead of the low has developed over western New Brunswick and will spread eastward this afternoon. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are expected before changing over to showers Wednesday morning. Strong easterly winds combined with the snow could lead to a reduction in visibility in blowing snow for some areas.
Additionally, on Wednesday higher than normal water levels and rough surf can be expected near high tide from the Bay of Chaleur to Miramichi Bay.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
