Early November Rainstorm

Special weather statement in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County
More rain expected tonight.

On the heels of the rain from earlier today, another swath of rain, possibly heavy at times, will move across the region tonight, then depart early Wednesday morning. Total rainfall amounts near 40 mm are expected but it is still possible some isolated spots could reach rainfall warning levels of 50 mm by Wednesday morning.

Queens County P.E.I.
More rain expected tonight.

On the heels of the rain from earlier today, another swath of rain, possibly heavy at times, will move across the Island tonight, then depart on Wednesday morning. Total rainfall amounts near 40 mm are expected but it is still possible some isolated spots could reach rainfall warning levels of 50 mm by Wednesday morning.

The winds associated with this system are expected to be weaker than those seen during the storm over the past weekend, and wind warnings are unlikely.

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
More rain expected for tonight.

On the heels of the rain from earlier today, another swath of rain, possibly heavy at times, will move across the province tonight, then depart on Wednesday morning. Rainfall warnings are already in effect for parts of western and northern Nova Scotia for amounts of 50 mm or more. Elsewhere amounts up to 40 mm are expected but could still reach 50 mm in isolated spots.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

Saint John and County
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

Drizzle or showers will become rain at times heavy again this evening and taper off in the early morning hours on Wednesday. When combined with the rainfall from earlier today, total rainfall amounts near 50 mm are expected.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Colchester County - Cobequid Bay
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

Rain at times heavy will redevelop this evening with risk of an isolated thundershower. Combined with the rainfall from earlier today, total rainfall amounts near 50 mm are expected, with amounts along the south shore possibly reaching 75 mm. Rain will end in the early morning hours Wednesday followed by partial clearing.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
