This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Coastal DownEast Maine,
Interior DownEast Maine and Penobscot Valley Maine.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Rain may fall heavy at times from this evening into Friday morning.
Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches will likely cause smaller streams
to experience significant within bank rises, and will cause ponding
of water on roads.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Colchester County - Truro and south
Wet weather expected for Friday and Saturday.

A low pressure system will slowly cross Nova Scotia on Friday and pass to the northeast of the province on Saturday. Rain ahead of this system will begin after midnight tonight in the southwest and spread to Cape Breton Island by Friday morning. The rain will then taper to showers on Friday night or Saturday. These showers may persist through the weekend over Cape Breton.

Total rainfall amounts may reach or exceed 50 mm for this rainfall event. A rainfall warning has been issued for Cumberland County, and that warning may be extended to other counties with future updates.

Queens County P.E.I.
Wet weather expected for Friday and Saturday.

A low pressure system will pass through the Maritimes on Friday into Saturday and will spread rain, heavy at times, through the Island beginning in the early morning hours on Friday. The rain is forecast to persist through Friday night into Saturday before beginning to ease late Saturday night.

Total rainfall amounts may reach or exceed 50 mm by the end of this rainfall event and rainfall warnings may be issued.

Wet weather for New Brunswick Friday into Saturday.

A weather system will pass over the Maritimes Friday into Saturday spreading rain throughout New Brunswick. Rain will begin tonight and continue into Friday night or Saturday morning.

Latest forecast guidance indicates that amounts of up to 40 mm are likely in the heaviest rain for areas in this statement. Over southernmost New Brunswick, amounts are likely to reach or exceed 50 mm in the heaviest rain, and rainfall warnings have been issued there.

Rain, heavy at times with embedded thundershowers, will begin late tonight and persist through the day on Friday before ending late Friday night or Saturday morning.

Total rainfall amounts will likely reach or exceed 50 mm in the areas of heaviest rain.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
