  high tide.

* SHORELINE FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor splash-over possible on low
  lying and exposed roads and shorelines around high tide this
  afternoon. Pedestrians and motorists should use caution along
  shorelines.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 8 PM EDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...Northwest Aroostook, Northeast Aroostook, Northern
  Somerset, Northern Piscataquis, Northern Penobscot, Southeast
  Aroostook, Central Piscataquis, Central Penobscot and Southern
  Piscataquis Counties.

* WHEN...From 5 AM to 8 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and
  powerlines. Scattered to numerous power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Locally heavy rainfall is also expected,
  which will result in a greater potential for trees to blow
  down. Secure holiday decorations to prevent flying debris.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

western half of Restigouche County
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

Total rainfall: 40 to 60 mm.

Location: Northwestern New Brunswick.

Time span: Today, tonight, and Friday morning.

Remarks: The heaviest rains will begin late this evening and end Friday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
