...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS
EVENING TO 1 PM EST THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches.
A brief changeover to freezing rain is expected from the Lincoln
to Topsfield area shortly before daybreak. Winds gusting as
high as 35 mph by early afternoon.
* WHERE...Portions of Central Highlands, Far Eastern, North
Woods and Penobscot Valley Maine.
* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Thursday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact holiday travel.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Far Northern Maine.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Snow will develop tonight then persist into Thanksgiving morning
before tapering to snow showers. Snow accumulations through
Thanksgiving morning are expected to range from 1 to 3 inches.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Strong gusty north to northwest winds will develop later Thanksgiving
then persist into Saturday. Wind gusts up to around 40 mph are
expected.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Coastal DownEast Maine,
Interior DownEast Maine and Penobscot Valley Maine.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Rain will develop tonight. The rain will begin to mix with snow later
tonight then transition to snow Thanksgiving morning before tapering
to snow showers. Snow totals of 1 to 3 inches are possible across
interior Downeast areas, with an inch or less along the Downeast
coast.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Strong gusty north to northwest winds will develop later Thanksgiving
then persist into Saturday. Wind gusts up to around 40 mph are
expected.

Special weather statement in effect for:
Fredericton and Southern York County
Accumulating snow expected for Thursday, except rain along Fundy coast.
Total snowfall: 5 to 15 cm.
Locations: southern New Brunswick
Time span: late Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon.
Remarks: Snow is expected to begin late Wednesday night and continue into Thursday afternoon when it will change to rain. The greatest snowfall accumulations are expected over the areas between St. Stephen and Sussex. General snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are likely with a possibility of up to 15 cm over higher terrain. Rain will prevail along the Fundy coast with amounts of 20 to 40 mm expected.

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Rain and some accumulating snow for Thursday.
Total rainfall: 20 to 40 mm, with locally higher amounts possible.
Total snowfall: 5 to 10 cm, mainly inland and over higher terrain.
Locations: mainland Nova Scotia.
Time span: late Wednesday night through Thursday evening.
Remarks: Rain is expected to begin late Wednesday night and persist for much of the day Thursday, but likely will mix with or change to snow over inland areas and especially over higher terrain Thursday morning. Precipitation will gradually end Thursday evening. Strong northeasterly winds gusting to 80 km/h will develop Thursday.
