Freezing rain warning in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County

Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Location: Central New Brunswick.

Total freezing rain: 2 to 5 mm.

Time span: Until later this morning.

Remarks: The freezing rain or snow mixed with freezing rain will taper to showers this morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
