...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING
TO 6 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and sleet expected. Total snow accumulations between 3
  to 5 inches and sleet accumulations between one tenth and two
  tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...Northwest Aroostook County.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and sleet means periods of snow
and sleet will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

Queens County P.E.I.
Significant rainfall combined with melting snow is expected.

Total rainfall: 25 to 35 mm.

Locations: Prince Edward Island.

Time span: beginning this afternoon and changing over to snow tonight.

Remarks: Rain, at times heavy, is expected to begin this afternoon and continue into the night. The rain will then change to freezing rain and ice pellets to snow.

The freezing rain could persist for several hours tonight in a few locations. Please continue to monitor forecasts and alerts in the case that a freezing rain warning may be issued.

Don't approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Significant rainfall combined with melting snow is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

Total rainfall: 25 to 50 mm.

Locations: central and southern New Brunswick.

Time span: beginning this afternoon and changing over to snow tonight.

Remarks: Rain, at times heavy, is expected to begin this afternoon and continue into the night. The rain will then change through freezing rain and ice pellets to snow.

The freezing rain could persist for several hours tonight, especially in the area spanning from Woodstock and Carleton County to Kent County and Kouchibouguac National Park. Please continue to monitor forecasts in the case that a freezing rain warning may need to be issued.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Cumberland County North and Cobequid Pass
Rainfall, combined with melting snow, is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

Heavy rainfall is expected.

Total rainfall: 25 to 30 mm

Locations: Cobequid Pass, Minas Shore, and Amherst area.

Remarks: Rain will begin this afternoon, and continue overnight. The rain is expected to taper to flurries on Saturday. During the transition, there is also a chance of a brief period of freezing rain and ice pellets.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
