This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Maine, south central Maine,

southwest Maine, western Maine, New Hampshire, central New

Hampshire, northern New Hampshire and southern New Hampshire.


.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Light snow will develop overnight and will linger into the morning

commute before ending by mid morning.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.


Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather

conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Special weather statement in effect for:


Halifax Metro and Halifax County West

Potentially significant rainfall is expected early in the week.


Total rainfall: 30 to 50 or possibly higher.


Locations: Most of mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island.


Time span: starting in the morning on Monday in western Nova Scotia and spreading eastward throughout the day. Rain is expected to taper off early on Tuesday.


Remarks: There is still some uncertainty with regards to the track of this system, but current guidance would indicate widespread 30 to 50 mm with the potential for localized higher amounts. Over northwestern Nova Scotia a prolonged period of snow could precede the rain and impact transportation in some areas. Freezing Rain is also likely for a brief period over parts of central Nova Scotia. Rainfall warnings may be issued with subsequent forecasts.

Cumberland County North and Cobequid Pass

Rapidly accumulating snow is expected Monday afternoon.


Total snowfall: 5 to 15 cm.


Location: northwestern Nova Scotia.


Time span: starting late in the morning and changing to rain in the afternoon through the evening hours.


Remarks: The system that will bring rain to most of Nova Scotia will also bring a period of rapidly accumulating snow to parts of northwestern Nova Scotia. The timing of the snow could cause additional impacts to transportation.

Special weather statement in effect for:


Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick

Significant snowfall to start the new week.


Total snowfall: 10 to 15 cm.


Locations: eastern New Brunswick.


Time span: Monday afternoon through early morning Tuesday.


Remarks: Snow will reach southern New Brunswick Monday morning and then spread across eastern regions late in the day, with occasionally strong winds and some blowing snow. Current forecast guidance is indicating the potential for snowfall amounts of 10 to 15. The snow will likely change to rain along the Fundy coast during the afternoon and evening, and there is a risk of freezing rain in the southeast.


Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

locations Monday afternoon and evening.

Queens County P.E.I.

A low pressure system is forecast to bring a mix of weather conditions to Prince Edward Island with snow beginning Monday afternoon then changing to rain in the evening. Western areas could see 5 to 10 cm of snow before changing to rain. Eastern areas will see mainly rain with amounts possibly exceeding 30 mm.
