Frost advisory in effect for:
Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Frost may damage frost-sensitive fruit trees and vegetable plants.
Frost tonight.
Locations: Most of mainland Nova Scotia.
Time span: Overnight tonight, dissipating shortly after sunrise.
Remarks: Clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to fall overnight to near the freezing mark. The coldest temperatures will be in low lying areas where below freezing temperatures are possible.
Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
