Mid-August Nor'Easter Update Four

Rainfall warning in effect for:

Sydney Metro and Cape Breton County
Rain, at times heavy, continues.

Total rainfall: 40 to 60 mm, locally higher amounts possible.

Locations: eastern Cape Breton.

Time span: today and tonight.

Remarks: Periods of rain will continue today and tonight with localized downpours and embedded thunderstorms possible. The rain is expected to ease Thursday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
