Excessive Heat Alerts Issues For Southern Maine And All Of New Brunswick

A period of very warm and humid weather is expected.

Time span: Thursday, Friday, and potentially continuing into the weekend.

Maximum temperature Thursday: 29 to 32 degrees Celsius (Humidex 36 to 39), except cooler along parts of the coast.
Minimum temperature Thursday night: 18 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature Friday: 29 to 32 degrees Celsius (Humidex 36 to 39), except cooler along parts of the coast.

Locations: New Brunswick. 

Remarks: Cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

Reduce your heat risk.  Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day.

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
